SDplay

Configure TouchPad and add SDplay to your home screen

TouchPad adds touchscreen sticks and buttons to a supported browser game. It is already included in the Simpsons launcher. Use its settings to place controls within reach and choose the keys you need.

Keys, size, and visibility

TouchPad sends keyboard events. Xbox and PlayStation styles change appearance; the assigned key determines the actual action. They do not connect a physical gamepad.

Settings are stored in the current browser when storage is available. You may need to configure the controller again on another device or after clearing site data.

  1. Open Settings on the homepage or tap ⚙ on the in-game toolbar.
  2. Choose the compact, Xbox, or PlayStation style and adjust button size and visibility.
  3. Choose WASD or arrows for movement. Enable the right stick separately if you need camera arrow keys.
  4. Show the buttons you need, hide unused ones, and match their assigned keys to the game's settings.

Moving buttons and sticks

Positions are remembered separately for each controller style. Switching styles can therefore show a different saved layout.

  1. In the game, tap EDIT and choose the controls to position.
  2. Drag sticks and buttons where you can reach them comfortably while still seeing the game.
  3. Choose Save to apply the layout, or Cancel to return to the previous one.
  4. To restore the initial positions, choose Reset in the editor, then Save.

Testing controls and using wheel mode

Test controls opens a small practice arena. It helps confirm that the controller sends movement and actions, but it does not establish compatibility with a particular game.

For wheel mode, tap the wheel icon, allow motion sensors if requested, and hold the phone still for centering. Tap ⊙ to set a new center. Return to normal buttons if the sensors do not work.

Picture stabilization and landscape orientation lock are separate wheel-mode settings. Orientation lock depends on browser support; rotate the phone manually if the browser declines it.

Adding SDplay to an iPhone home screen

Adding the site to your home screen creates a convenient icon. It does not confirm that the game itself is compatible with iPhone or download all game files. Menu names vary by iOS version.

  1. Open the SDplay homepage in Safari. If the link opened inside another app, copy it into Safari.
  2. Tap Share and choose Add to Home Screen. If it is missing, check the actions list and Edit Actions.
  3. If you see Open as Web App, enable it, then tap Add.
  4. Open SDplay from the new icon. Web-app mode gives the game more space by removing browser controls; the phone's system bars may remain.

Adding SDplay to an Android home screen

Chrome may offer web-app installation or only a shortcut. A shortcut does not guarantee opening without the address bar. External links can open with the browser interface again.

  1. Open the SDplay homepage in Chrome rather than another app's built-in browser.
  2. Open the ⋮ menu and choose Install app, or Add to Home Screen followed by Install when available.
  3. Confirm the action and open SDplay from the new home-screen icon.

Why a home-screen icon does not mean offline play

Installing SDplay and downloading game files are separate actions. Simpsons currently needs internet to load because a complete verified offline package is not yet available.

A saved controller layout or a homepage that opens without a connection does not confirm that all game data is available. Check the game guide for current launch requirements.

Using the TouchPad bookmark on another game website

Pasting an arbitrary link does not connect our controller automatically. You can try the TouchPad JavaScript bookmark on another game website in Android Chrome. The result depends on the game's input handling: some games ignore software-generated key presses.

The bookmark code includes your selected settings. Copy it again after changing them. It adds the controller to the current page; reloading the page or pressing × removes it.

  1. Configure the controller on the SDplay homepage and choose Copy bookmark code.
  2. Create any bookmark in Chrome, edit it, and name it TouchPad.
  3. Replace its entire URL with the copied code. Check that it starts with javascript: because the browser may remove this prefix when pasting.
  4. Open the game page, wait for loading, and start typing TouchPad in the address bar. Select the saved bookmark. If the buttons appear but do not work, check the bindings; the game itself may not support this input.
